We are pleased to announce the publication of the BLUEQ Joint Strategy E-Booklet: “Applied Solutions for Monitoring Coastal Habitats and Quantifying Blue Carbon Storage.”
The booklet presents the BLUEQ Joint Strategy for the monitoring, management, and policy integration of blue carbon ecosystems in the Adriatic–Ionian region, with a special focus on Posidonia oceanica meadows and their important role in climate mitigation, biodiversity protection, and sustainable coastal management.
Through this publication, the BLUEQ project shares:
- harmonised monitoring approaches and scientific methodologies,
- digital tools and operational solutions,
- policy and planning recommendations,
- financing pathways for blue carbon initiatives,
- pilot actions and governance frameworks for long-term cooperation.
The e-booklet represents an important step toward strengthening regional cooperation and supporting evidence-based decision-making for the protection and sustainable management of coastal and marine ecosystems.
